The facility is located just behind the legendary Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center. The practice pool, which provides a space for Longhorn swimmers to train outdoors, is a stainless-steel modular pool shell designed by Myrtha Pools. It consists of multiple lap lanes and a bulkhead that will allow for 50-meter, 25 meter and 25-yard training.
The facility's namesake, Eddie Reese is one of the winningest coaches in the history of NCAA Division I athletics. He took over the Texas program in 1978 and has led the program to 14 NCAA National Championships in the years since. He has been named CSCAA National Coach of the Year 8 times, and his Longhorns have won 41 consecutive conference titles, dating back to 1980.
