On April 1st, 2023, the Conroe ISD Natatorium was dedicated to Olympic diver Laura Wilkinson. The newly named Laura Wilkinson Natatorium seats 1,000 spectators and is located at the south end of Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah, Texas. It is a 16,007-square-foot, 65-meter natatorium consisting of a 50-meter stretch competition pool with a constant 7-foot-deep water venue, warm-up lanes, and a dive well featuring four 1-meter and two 3-meter diving boards and platform.
Wilkinson won the gold medal in platform diving in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She is a three-time Olympian, competing in 2000, 2004, and 2008, was a two-time NCAA champion, and eight-time All-American at the University of Texas, and holds 19 USA Diving national titles.
