UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS
The practice pool facility is located just behind the legendary Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center. The Myrtha Pool stainless-steel shell allowed for a uniquely configured pool, offering training in ten 25-yard lanes, perfect for the NCAA season as well as five 50-meter lanes, ideal for the long-course season. Dual-course lengths will enhance both the training capabilities and recruitment of world-class student athletes and ensure the long-term success of both the men’s and women’s programs.
The facility's namesake, Eddie Reese, is one of the winningest coaches in the history of NCAA Division I athletics. He took over the Texas program in 1978 and has led the program to 14 NCAA National Championships in the years since. He has been named CSCAA National Coach of the Year 8 times, and his Longhorns have won 41 consecutive conference titles, dating back to 1980.
